Second stage of consultation invites comments on updated plans for a new waste-to-energy facility at the A303 Enviropark, near Andover

HAMPSHIRE - 1 November 2019 - Wheelabrator Technologies has today launched a statutory consultation on its plans for Wheelabrator Harewood. This proposed new waste-to-energy facility would divert up to 500,000 tonnes of residual household and business waste from landfill or export and instead use it to generate renewable baseload energy equivalent to the needs of over 110,000 homes.

Public consultation launched for new Wheelabrator Technologies facility at A303 Enviropark, near Andover

New project to deliver clean, renewable baseload energy for homes and businesses.

HAMPSHIRE, ENGLAND – Industry leading waste-to-energy operator and developer, Wheelabrator Technologies today launched a new public consultation on proposals for a waste-to-energy facility at the A303 Enviropark at Barton Stacey, near Andover. The proposed facility would generate ~51 MW (gross) of clean, renewable baseload energy for the equivalent needs of over 110,000 homes. It would also divert approximately 450,000 tonnes of post-recycled waste from landfills each year.
